Difference between Chiropractor and Osteopath | Ben Cohen Osteopathy

Difference between Chiropractor and Osteopath - who you should go and see if you are suffering with a bad back. Osteopaths are specialists in the treatment of lower back pain. The difference is that Osteopaths will assess other areas that could be contributing to the issue and will treat accordingly.

One of the most commonly asked questions we receive in clinic is "What is the difference between a Chiropractor and an Osteopath?". This is a question that both Chiropractors and Osteopaths will be asked by their patients on a regular basis.

Osteopaths typically have a broader range of techniques at their disposal and look globally at the patient often taking in to consideration other factors such as their job, any stressful situations they are experiencing, sports/hobbies, previous trauma, operations that could have contributed to their current presenting problem. As well as this the Osteopath will look at your lifestyle activities, desk set up, sleeping position, seating position in car or chair to ascertain how any of these may impact the pain you are experiencing.
